Description

This wiry rush gets its name from the knob of brown flower spikes near the end of the stem. It is a tall, coarse, wiry, densely tufted perennial rush with creeping rhizomes.

Knobby Club-rush is commonly found in active and stable dunes and is useful for binding sandy soils.
