Rounded Noon-flower

Species Name: Disphyma crassifolium

Description: Rounded Noon-flower is a succulent spreading plant which can form dense carpets of stunning colour. The bright green, cylindrical leaves are often flushed with red, yellow or purple and the shining pink flowers have a crisp white centre. Rounded Noon-flower is useful for stabilising soil erosion, especially in saline areas. The usually bright-green leaves change to orange or purple in different salt levels. The leaves are a traditional food source for the Wadawurrung.
