Sea Lettuce
Species Name: Ulva species
Description: These vibrant green algae have simple plant bodies constructed in flat or tubular sheets. Sheets of Sea Lettuce can grow up to 30cm in size. Sea Lettuce grows in shallow pools and across the tops of the reef where it provides food for many grazing animals. Abundant during spring and dying off over summer, there are a few closely related species of Ulva, all called Sea Lettuce.
