Comb Jellies
Description: While having a jelly like appearance, Comb Jellies are a separate group to the true sea jellies and lack stinging cells.
They are mostly free swimming, having eight rows of fine cilia around their bodies which refract light and have a rainbow sheen.
Two longer tentacles with strongly adhesive cells trail behind the body and capture prey like shrimp or small fish.
Type: Stinger (Ctenophore)
Where to find: Water Column
