Red Notched Crab
Scientific Name: Plagusia chabrus
Description: A large very active reddish crab with with a smooth red-brown shell covered in felt that extends in rows down the legs, it has sharp points on its legs to help it cling to rocks in the wave zone. The species feeds mainly on encrusting bryozoans, sponges and hydroids.
