Description |
The Shining Bronze-Cuckoo is similar to Horsfield’s Bronze-Cuckoo, but it is more brightly marked with iridescent green-brown on the wings, back and neck. The barring on the chest of adult birds is complete, without the central break of the Horsfield’s Bronze-Cuckoo.
The call is a whistle with an upward inflection – similar to a human whistling a dog. They feed mainly on insects and their larvae, especially hairy caterpillars. |
