Where to find
Rocky intertidal areas, including in depressions and crevices at mid tide level, to depth of 3 m.
This anemone has tentacles with distinctive white bar patterning on transparent grey tentacles. The oral disc is a deep brown or red, with a bright green ring around the mouth. Column up to 8 cm wide.

The Brown Anemone is often seen in depressions on the reefs at the Bluff. These anemones have microscopic algae in the tentacles and upper column that turn sunlight into energy for the anemone.
