Underside of basalt boulders
These large chitons are greenish coloured and have eight overlapping plates making up their shell. The shell is surrounded by a fleshy girdle. Up to 9 cm long

These herbivorous chitons are common on the underside of the basalt boulders on the Bluff. They move quickly (relatively!) if exposed to light.
