Where to find
Attached to rocky subtidal reef
The reddish body of a Sea Tulip is anchored firmly to rocks on a long stalk. Two siphons or openings allow water to enter and leave the body.

Like all the members of this group, Sea Tulips are filter feeders and extract plankton and detritus from the surrounding water.  They are usually found  below the low tide line although they can be exposed at very low tides.
