Moonlighter
Scientific Name: Tilodon sexfasciatus
Description: Moonlighters are small fish most often seen as much smaller juveniles on reefs in the Marine Sanctuary. They have a pointed snout like a butterfly fish and a large black ‘eye-like’ spot at the rear of the body. Small Moonlighters are known to set up cleaning stations to remove parasites from other fishes.
